You may have seen the picture in a previous posts but I thought you might enjoy the live version as well. Ned and his family singing a song in Spanish. You know even though many people here don't understand Spanish, a lot is communicated through this song, mainly that Ned loves the students, his family and his God (not necessarily in that order) and they love him AND they all like to laugh.

As a pastor in the middle of Holy Week with a small service in a Saturday wedding for Ben and Jess, I needed a break and a laugh. This clip was a two-for-one special ... more generally known in my redneck circles as a twofor [phonetically spelled toofer among rednecks not having matriculated from elementary school]. Suddenly, I feel much better about not speaking Spanish -- although I bet I'll feel less peace being a (sadly)typical American monoglot when we get to Peru for two weeks in August! Now remembering how linguistically talented you are, my sister, I want to know when YOU are going to join the Von Trapp Farnsworth singers for a guest performance. That's the tape I want to use here at Manoa to help raise more missionary support for you at Manoa. I bet George and Linda would drive down here for that! May God keep you strong (fuerte?) in your service to Him, well in your outer ears as you keep listening to you with your inner one, and know that Giselle and Brown are lifelong fans of player / coach Melissa Heck as she walks through the fiery trials of God's furnace of service daily.
