I Felt the Earth Move Under My Feet, and Sky came tumbling down.
This morning I was asleep around 6AM when I felt if someone were shaking me to wake me up. When I woke up I realized that no one was there and my bed was still shaking. That was when it dawned on me that I was experiencing an earth quake. Since I have been to Guam, there are often tremors of earthquakes which I mostly miss because they are from epicenters hundreds of miles away some where under the ocean. This morning, the quake was only about 5 miles north of me and a number of miles (all the reports I heard were different) below the surface. It measured 5.4 on the rictor scale and is what they consider a somewhat mild earth quake. I have heard of no reported damage or deaths. Some people even slept through it.
