Although I had a lot of work to do over break, I made good progress so I made time to schedule a fun trip with some of the students. Basically we just took a drive, stopped for some pictures, fed a Carabao, and took a short walk, and swam in some salt water pools. They enjoy the chance to get off campus and remember they are still on a island.

This picture is at the Vietnam War memorial for the soldiers from Guam who died and served. Also it is one of the nicest views on island.

Jayleen and Maymay got to ride Betsy, the Carabao at Fort Soledad.

Others hang out as we enjoy the nice day.

Betsy likes bananas in the skins.

Alvin put the banana between his teeth for Betsy to take. Unfortunately I wasn't quick enough to get it on camera.

Joe and TK came out to see the cannons and pose for pictures. (The other students never got past the Carabao).

Joe poses in the guard house which is one of the things left of the old historic fort.

I took the students on a short walk to see some fresh water pools. These two students walked up and ran down another mountain near by.

The other students check out the pools as we wait for the others to return from the additional hike.

These students chill near the ocean as the rest of us swim in Inarahan pools.

Maymay, Jaynee, and Jayleen are ready to go.

Alicia always has the best expressions.

Earlier in the week another group of students went with me to "Chammoro Village" a fun place full of local culture, food, and crafts. Then we went to see the Statue of Liberty near by. Unfortunately right after this picture the skys opened up and we got soaked trying to get back to the van.
