A Island Custom
Quite frequently here on Guam, when we enter private residences we take our shoes off. This is also very common in many parts of Asia.
Of course we don't do it in public places like Kmart. No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service (Like Kenny Chesney always sings. Right, Amy?) still applies here. However when I was home I often continued this tradition..... although not enough apparently since sometimes now I forget.

I ALWAYS take my shoes off when I enter my house and often other people's homes, too - unless my feet stink! hahaha
